Basic English Learning Is Easier Than You Thought

Because English has become the global language of education and business, more people throughout the world are studying and mastering it than ever before. Our aim at Educational Testing Service (ETS) is to encourage learning and support training and education for people globally. We strive to assist students in pursuing their ambitions of higher education or obtaining a solid job in English-speaking areas around the world.

The increasing number of persons taking the TOEFL® and TOEIC® examinations, the most extensively used and acknowledged English exams in the world, demonstrates the popularity of English. Because ETS creates these examinations, readers may be interested in our perspective on the necessity of basic English learning and why it should be enjoyable.

Lessons in Basic English for Beginners

Learning basic English does not have to be a difficult task if you attend the correct school. Our English for Beginners course at ULC is designed for students who want to concentrate on developing basic English conversational skills in a fun and enriching setting with other like-minded individuals.

Since its inception in 1964, the TOEFL® test has been taken by over 27 million people worldwide, including thousands in Japan. In 2013, the TOEIC® test, which was first developed in Japan in the 1970s, was completed more than seven million times.

English language instruction is being introduced earlier in school in an increasing number of countries. In fifth grade, Japanese kids begin learning English, and in junior high and high school, they receive more extensive education. MEXT’s proposal to begin English language instruction throughout third grade is a step in the right direction.
